Highlights & Notes
This is one of the few public Navratri Garba events in NYC, held aboard a historic ship, offering an unforgettable backdrop.
Access to Wavertree requires climbing stairs or navigating gangways (steep or ladder-style in parts).
Museum access is involved: the Navratri event ticket includes museum and ship entry during the event hours.
Registration in advance is encouraged, though walk-ins may be accommodated as space allows.
The Wavertree is a restored iron-hulled sailing vessel built in 1885, part of the South Street Seaport’s “ship row.”
